A woman from the UK went viral after sharing how she was shocked to find her child eating her father’s ashes in the living room of her house.
In a video posted to her TikTok profile, Natasha Emeny, from Lincolnshire, England, explained that she went upstairs for just a few moments to put away some clothes.
When she returned, she saw Koah, her 1-year-old son, “covered in ashes,” before realizing that the baby had eaten the ashes of her father, who had been cremated.
“It took me a moment to realize they were, in fact, my dad’s ashes,” Emeny explained. In the video, you can see the mess left in the living room after the unexpected incident.
She explained that the ashes were kept in an urn on the “top shelf,” and she thought the child wouldn’t be able to reach it. She also mentioned that the urn had been “there all his life,” and he had never shown interest in it before.
After the incident, Emeny was concerned about her son’s health, but doctors assured her that he “would be fine” if he drank plenty of water, as she explained in the comments of the original post.
